A Little About Me
I'm trying to find out the answer to what motivates us as human beings. We are all unique, and we are all the same. Marketing is the convergence of motivation and intent. Or to put it simply, placing an idea in a person's mind and asking "What d'ya think?".That's the stuff that keeps me excited and energized. What motivates you?

The First Step Is The Hardest
Problem:
Mental health has a stigma. And it’s hard to shake. Thanks to the wonderful people at Burrell Behavioral Health, they’re knocking down the walls between people and the care they need, one day at a time. When Burrell approached us, it became clear that the front door of the website needed to seek to understand people and their challenges before moving them towards care.

Solution:
The goal was to show that Burrell understood the most common roadblocks and objections to receiving care. This included setting clear expectations for what the journey-to-care would look like, so expectations could match reality for first-time clients.

Results:
By clearly defining the journey-to-care, we were able to increase the number of users taking the next step towards their mental health treatment. This resulted in a 177% increase in users requesting more information about treatment options.
Scope:
• Site structure
• Content strategy
• Design and layout

High Quality Higher Ed
High school grads are seriously rethinking college and accumulating debt. The pandemic intensified the questioning of the ROI of a college eduction. And the challenges for Hannibal-LaGrange build as they face a regional population that’s declining.

Solution:
Generally, higher ed orgs are self-focused. They center messaging on the institution rather than the student. For HLGU, we encouraged a new approach. The content strategy focused on tangibles and intangibles. The educational experience is par for the course, but HLGU shows up with more. Their new messaging focuses on friendship, mentorships, and an anchor to their faith. This strategy guided the rebuild of the homepage. Messaging aimed at the student's core desires. We faced their challenges and objections head on and offered them more.

Results:
With a newly optimized landing page and Facebook campaign, HLGU met 2020 recruitment goals, despite fears of missing brought by COVID. The university experienced an immediate 300% increase in requests for campus tours and 6x increase in applications.

Medical Research with a Mission
Problem:
Clinvest Research assists pharmaceutical companies with trial testing drugs to ensure their safety and effectiveness. But medical research is scary. Very few people understand what goes into bringing new pharmaceutical drugs to market. We needed to educate the consumer and showcase how much their life can improve if they considered taking part in a medical research study.

Solution:
We realized the focus needs to be on the outcome. People sign up for a study with the hope of treatment and relief. Our goal was to show the user a life without aliments is a life that's theirs to live.

Results:
Within one month of the launch of the website, we were able to measure an increase in daily study sign-ups of 217%.

Only Few Were Made to Heal
Problem:
Cox College was having trouble not being the preferred choice of applicants. When a student had the option of choosing a less expensive school they went with the cheaper option 50% of the time.

Solution:
The solution was simple, make Cox College the preferred choice of those students. We chose to write, design, and develop an email nurturing campaign. In our research, we uncovered 8 key areas where Cox College had a competitive advantage. These 8 areas became the basis for a robust email nurture campaign.

Results:
The additional touchpoints with the prospective student proved to impact their college of choice. We were able to cut the number of students choosing a competing organization in half by focusing on all the value Cox College can provide that their competitors could not.
